Liberal Policies Leading to Higher Unemployment Not Unexpected

When human liberty is unleashed and private property is respected, there is prosperity. In real terms, this means that when regulations and controls on human behavior are released and when taxes are cut and property rights are respected, then there is rising wages, low unemployment, and GDP growth.

The opposite is true as well- when regulations are put in place controlling human behavior in some sort of misguided attempt to 'direct it' and when wealth is confiscated by high taxes and fees and property owners are harassed by being ordered around or prohibited from developing their property, then there will be falling real wages, higher unemployment, and low GDP growth.

So it is not 'unexpected' to me when the results of Democrats and liberals policies lead to unemployment. According to Bloomberg:

... Applications for jobless benefits decreased 44,000 in the week ended May 7 to 434,000, Labor Department figures showed today...

...The number of people continuing to collect jobless benefits rose by 5,000 in the week ended April 30 to 3.76 million. Economists forecast the number would fall to 3.7 million....
This means that under Obama's summer of recovery, unemployment rose from 9.0 to 9.1. Homes continue to drop in value, inflation is setting in, debt is piling up, and almost every economic measure demonstrates conclusively that you are not better off after 3 years of Obama.
