Since I so much lately love putting together graphs, I took a minute to put this one together. I never really thought Senator Debbie Stabenow (Democrat, Michigan) was that important, but it is pretty clear from the graph that her election to the US Senate in 2001 is what ruined our nation. I can draw no other conclusions from the data.
UPDATE: While many others may have been responsible for the explosion of debt in our nation lately, in the upcoming election, I will only have 3 of their names on my ballot for me to vote for- Stabenow, Obama, and Peters. Bush, Republicans in Congress from 10 years ago, and the bogeyman are not on the ballot- Stabenow is, and is represents 1/535th of the problem in Congress, and next year November, Michigan voters will have a chance to remove this problem by voting for her opponent, whomever it is.
