Jane Eyre is a famous and influential novel by English writer Charlotte Bronte. It was published in London, England in 1847 by Smith, Elder & Co. with the title Jane Eyre. An Autobiography under the pen name "Currer Bell". The American edition came out the following year published by Harper & Brothers of New York. Jane Eyre is a first-person narrative of the title character. The novel goes through five distinct stages: Jane's childhood at Gateshead, where she is emotionally and physically abused by her aunt and cousins; her education at Lowood School, where she acquires friends and role models but also suffers privations; her time as the governess of Thornfield Hall, where she falls in love with her Byronic employer, Edward Rochester; her time with the Rivers family at Marsh's End (or Moor House) and Morton, where her cold clergyman-cousin St John Rivers proposes to her; and her reunion with and marriage to her beloved Rochester. Partly autobiographical, the novel abounds with social criticism. It is a novel considered ahead of its time. The novel depicts the plight of the French peasantry demoralized by the French aristocracy in the years leading up to the revolution, the corresponding brutality demonstrated by the revolutionaries toward the former aristocrats in the early years of the revolution, and many unflattering social parallels with life in London during the same time period. It follows the lives of several protagonists through these events. The most notable are Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton. Darnay is a French once-aristocrat who falls victim to the indiscriminate wrath of the revolution despite his virtuous nature, and Carton is a dissipated British barrister who endeavours to redeem his ill-spent life out of his unrequited love for Darnay's wife, Lucie Manette.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes - High Quality, FREE Audiobook

"This is a top of the line edition of "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. For anyone interested in mystery, suspense, and adventure, this book is essential.

WHY THIS EDITION?

That's a good question. And I can answer it with one word: Quality. If you've purchased any of the $.99 versions of this text on the Kindle Store, then you know that they are generally not quality editions. They have artifacts in the text, they aren't formatted properly, and the table of contents don't usually work.

Here at Edwards Publishing House, we believe quality is key. It is our conviction that if the quality of the text is low, the reading experience is degraded - and works such as this one deserve a high quality edition for the Kindle. So, we took it upon ourselves to produce a high quality edition of this book for the Kindle.

Therefore, this is a high quality, professional edition of "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes". Unlike other editions, this version was cleaned up and specially optimized for the Kindle, meaning you don't have to worry about any "noise" or left over artifacts in your text. This is a real book - a real edition.

Here are some reasons to choose this edition over the others:

- A Fully Functional Table of Contents - So that you can instantly jump to any point in the book at any time (many of the other free and low-cost versions lack this simple yet crucial feature)

- A Clean Type-Face and Formatting - This means that the quality of the text won't degrade your reading experience and you don't have to worry about a "dirty" ebook.

- It is Individually Reformatted and Organized for the Kindle: Meaning it will read like a Kindle book is supposed to - beautifully.

- The Original Text is Left Intact: This way you get the original message of the author as it was meant to be read.

- It's Professionally published by publishers who believe in quality.

FULL REFUND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT

As an added bonus, you get a 7 day money back guarantee if you don't like the book. If you aren't completely satisfied with "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes", and don't believe you got your money's worth, then just return it and get a full refund. No questions asked and no hassles. Just go to your account, contact Amazon through the "Contact Us" link, and a return will be issued.

FREE Audiobook Bonus

You can find it in the Table of Contents once you have purchased this great collection of Sherlock Holmes.

With other editions you may spend less, but you get a lower quality product. On the other hand, with this edition you could be enjoying a beautiful version of "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" in just a matter of seconds.

Sincerely,

Sean Edwards

Wuthering Heights is the only novel by Emily Bronte. It was first published in 1847 under the pseudonym Ellis Bell, and a posthumous second edition was edited by her sister Charlotte. The name of the novel comes from the Yorkshire manor on the moors on which the story centres (as an adjective; wuthering is a Yorkshire word referring to turbulent weather). The narrative tells the tale of the all-encompassing and passionate, yet thwarted, love between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, and how this unresolved passion eventually destroys them and many around them.

Now considered a classic of English literature, Wuthering Heights met with mixed reviews by critics when it first appeared, mainly because of the narrative's stark depiction of mental and physical cruelty. Though Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre was generally considered the best of the Bronte sisters' works during most of the nineteenth century, many subsequent critics of Wuthering Heights argued that its originality and achievement made it superior. Wuthering Heights has also given rise to many adaptations and inspired works, including films, radio, television dramatizations, a musical by Bernard J. Taylor, ballet, opera, role-playing game, and song.

Gulliver's Travels describes the four fantastic voyages of Lemuel Gulliver, a kindly ship's surgeon. Swift portrays him as an observer, a reporter, and a victim of circumstance. His travels take him to Lilliput where he is a giant observing tiny people. In Brobdingnag, the tables are reversed and he is the tiny person in a land of giants where he is exhibited as a curiosity at markets and fairs. The flying island of Laputa is the scene of his next voyage. The people plan and plot as their country lies in ruins. It is a world of illusion and distorted values. The fourth and final voyage takes him to the home of the Houyhnhnms, gentle horses who rule the land. He also encounters Yahoos, filthy bestial creatures who resemble humans.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn with illustrations and a FREE audiobook

The Adventures of Huckleberry FinnAdventures of Huckleberry Finn is a book by Mark Twain, first published in England in December 1884 and in the United States in February 1885. Considered as the Great American Novel, the work is among the first in major American literature to be written in the vernacular, characterized by local color regionalism. It is told in the first person by Huckleberry "Huck" Finn, a friend of Tom Sawyer and narrator of two other Twain novels (Tom Sawyer Abroad and Tom Sawyer, Detective).

The book is noted for its colorful description of people and places along the Mississippi River. Satirizing a Southern antebellum society that had ceased to exist about twenty years before the work was published, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is an often scathing look at entrenched attitudes, particularly racism.

The work has been popular with readers since its publication and is taken as a sequel to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. It has also been the continued object of study by serious literary critics. It was criticized upon release because of its coarse language and became even more controversial in the 20th century because of its perceived use of racial stereotypes and because of its frequent use of the racial slur "nigger".

This book is a fully illustrated edition that includes original illustrations, active table of contents and free audiobook link for download at the end of the book.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Complete) with illustrations and a FREE audiobook

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain is a popular 1876 novel about a young boy growing up in a small town along the Mississippi River. The story is set in the town of "St Petersburg", inspired by Hannibal, Missouri, where Mark Twain grew up. In the story's introduction, Twain notes: “Most of the adventures recorded in this book really occurred; one or two were experiences of my own, the rest of those boys were choolmates of mine. Huck Finn is drawn from life; Tom Sawyer also, but not from an individual—he is a combination of the characteristics of three boys whom I knew, and therefore belongs to the composite order of architecture.”

This book is a fully illustrated edition that includes original illustrations, active table of contents and free audiobook link for download (must use PC/Mac to download and listen audiobook file) at the end of the book.
