‘A clever reworking of a classic story. The little old lady’s fearless attitude and her clever solution as to what to do with the lively shoes, pants, shirt and pumpkin head that are chasing her will enchant young audiences. With brilliantly colored, detailed folk art illustrations. A great purchase.’ —SLJ.

This book is about a little old lady that was not scared of anything. My favorite character is the little old lady because she was not scared of scary things. I liked this book because the little old lady was not scared of the big pumpkin head. You should read this book because it is fantastic and fun to read.
In the end the very thing she feared turns out to be something not to be feared at all and actually provides a "helping hand" to our little friend. Great art work and story. I read this to my young daughter hundreds of times and am now reading it to her son.
