Three Bills the GOP Must Pass to Get Off Probation

Voters did not give the Republican Party a blank check this election- they put the GOP in charge of the House of Representatives for a reason, and if the GOP does not do three things, then voters will return Obama and the Democrats back to power in 2012. In order for the GOP to get off of probation and earn the trust and votes of voters, they need to:

  1. Pass a bill out of the House that repeals Obamacare. They don't need to do anything other than that- they don't need to replace it and they don't need to set up a new system- that would be nice to do and would help. But they absolutely need to repeal Obamacare, especially the provisions in it that threaten the life, liberty, and property of the citizens of our great nation. Pass it out of the House and ignore all attempts to keep portions of it or work with Obama and the Democrats- stick it to them, and go on the offensive. Make them decide what to do in the Senate- obstruct it, vote in favor of the repeal, or vote against the repeal- make the moderate and conservative Democratic Senators take a stand on it and not pull off some backroom deals.
  2. Pass a bill out of the House that cuts non-defense discretionary spending back to 2008 levels. They don't need to overthink this- simply dig up the 2008 budget and pass it almost exactly as it was and pass that on to the Senate, and make them deal with it. They can have all the debates about exactly what to fund and where the funding goes in the Senate, but hold the line and cut everything so that spending is at 2008 levels. This is only step one though- even at 2008 levels, this will still run a deficit because of the damage Obama and Democrats have done to the nation- but it is a step that the GOP must take.
  3. Pass a bill out of the House that extends the Bush and Obama tax cuts, without any changes at all. They don't need need to get involved in any debates or any arguments- a simple bill extending these tax cuts forever is all they need to do. Make the Senate argue over it, make Democrats and Obama go on record and decide whether or not they want to obstruct or vote down tax cuts. Don't worry about the deficits that these tax cuts will cause (as liberals will allege)- that will be peanuts compared to the cost of leaving Obama and the Democrats in charge of our nation past 2012. Be aggressive, pass them out, and make them take unpopular stands on those issues.
If the GOP does not do these things, then it will be crushed in 2012 and America will fade away, and my children and my children's children will curse the GOP for its missed chance to take America back. The GOP is on probation, and to get off it and have voters give it the Presidency and Senate, it needs to pass out of the House a bill that repeals Obamacare, cuts spending to 2008 levels, and extends the tax cuts.
