SmarTots - We recommend the Best Educational Apps for your Child
Smartots names their best educational apps. Here is why I like the concept of Smarttots - the apps give feedback to parents on what a child is actually learning. This is the topic of my New York Times piece last week: we don't have a feedback loop for the educational apps we're using so how do we know what they are doing. I think this is great.
Their favorite app: SpaceMath followed by Animal Preschool games and 6 in 1 kids math. -

Adobe Lightroom 4 enters free public beta with new editing tools and photo books | The Verge
Today Adobe is announcing a public beta of the all new Lightroom 4, available as a free download from its website until the full version goes on sale in "early 2012." This release includes major changes to existing photo management, editing, and sharing features, while adding in tons of new features as well. The release is also the first to drop support for Windows XP, though it still works with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, and Mac OS X Lion. Interestingly, however, it doesn't work in Lion's native full-screen mode
