More hereImage via WikipediaAs major events have unfolded in North Africa over the last few months, the role of the African Union has been disappointing to say the least. Its failure to take a firm position on the atrocities being committed in Libya has revealed the organization’s lack of a coherent strategy to implement its core objectives of ensuring peace and upholding human rights in the continent. The organization appears to be slowly gravitating toward fecklessness in the same manner of its predecessor, the Organization of African Unity (OAU).
