Right or Left Values in Schools?

A lot of schools pride themselves on saying that they are create the right values in their students- it is in the mission statement of most schools and touted on their advertisements on TV. But these schools are lying- they don't pride themselves on creating the 'right values.' They pride themselves in teaching no values.

Schools teach moral relativism. They teach that students can decide for themselves which values they want to follow and that they can pick and choose morals from the ones they like and don’t like. Teachers never say “it is wrong to do this”- instead, teachers are are taught and encouraged to say “it can be ok to do this”. There is no right and wrong in a teachers world, and to even suggest that some things might be wrong is shocking, since in school, there is no right and wrong.

But, that's not quite true, because they do teach right and wrong. They teach that it is right to be late to class, that the correct answer is more important than the right answer, that disrespect to elders is ok, that everyone has to speak up and be counted, and that moral or spiritual arguments are never to be accepted. And they teach that it is wrong to believe in God, that it is wrong to promote personal responsibility, that it is wrong to try to use force to achieve good, that it is wrong to believe in individuals right.

So I guess schools don't teach moral relativism- they can indeed take pride, but not in creating the right values in their students, but in the left ones.
