Dragged Kicking and Screaming

Listening to the big bully Ed Schultz today on 1310, and several times he mentioned that people in this country are going to need to have their behaviors changed, even if they have to be dragged kicking and screaming to change them. His main point was that he supports Obama, who supports making you and me change our behaviors regarding energy, even if we don't want to, but the phrase "dragged kicking and screaming" got me thinking about this question- what sort of country has a single government official drag citizens kicking and screaming through the streets- a free one, loving liberty and freedom, or an unfree one, loving tyranny and oppression? We can see what side Ed is on, and what side Obama is on.
