Holiday Mail for Heroes

This time of year for many is a time of holiday parties with friends and families, but let us not forget all of our service members who are overseas or who in the past were overseas fighting for our freedom and liberty during this time.

The “Holiday Mail for Heroes” campaign helps Americans to send holiday cards with their messages of thanks and cheer to service members, veterans and their families. It is hoped that through this campaign, American service men and women in the U.S. and around the world will receive a much needed touch of home during this holiday season.

This year, information about the Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign can be found at http://www.redcross.org/holidaymail. The site includes information about what types of cards can be sent, how cards should be addressed, and also provides further information regarding how you can get involved.

Please take a couple minutes out of your busy holiday season to remember those who fought for you by sending them something as simple but as powerful as a holiday card. A thank you and a 'great job' go far in keeping up the spirits of our fighting men and women.
