Although not a competitive bodybuilder like theblogprof, I do enjoy weight lifting. I practice High Intensity Training (HIT), finding that it challenges both the body and the mind to be stronger, more powerful, and more disciplined. Yesterday, after lifting, I was struck by a bit of poetry, and because I want to, I thought I'd write it down here:
I won. The weakness tried to rise up and consume me, but with mind, body, and spirit, I fought it. The weakness receded, wailing in fury at being unable to claim me, but my fury roared back, triumphantly, and rejoiced in the fierceness of my victory over weakness.
