Democrats and their allies in the media are trying to convince people that by raising taxes on small businesses, employers, investors, and 'the rich', then the government will collect more money and then use it to balance the deficit that they haven't even pretended to care about during their time in power. Don't fall for it people- their motives are disingenuous, the results won't be as advertised (the rich will just hide their income better, except for the not-quite-rich or honest people, who will indeed get hammered), government spending usually damages the economy (more regulation, misallotment of funds, inefficient schemes, etc), and the result will be to damage our economy further. Tax cuts are good- and they are good for everyone.
For that matter, what are the Republicans doing by simply saying they want to keep the Bush tax cuts in place!? They should be pushing for that and to double those tax cuts! Tax cuts are good; starve the beast, put more money in people's hands.
