It deals with dark issues, including genocide, rape, female circumcision, prejudice, child soldiers and the constraints of fate. But there also is true love, deep friendships, hope, valor and great adventure.The narrative unwinds around the life story of Onyesonwu, a young sorceress, born after her mother is raped.
