White Skin Tax?

Over the last couple days I discussed the major taxes that are going to hit our nation, but somehow I missed the fact that a 10% tax on tanning services at tanning salons went into effect last month. As we all know, the NAACP and the Tea Party are both on the continual look-out for racism, so I figured that I would point out that this tax will disproportionately hit light-skinned people, who are mostly white (I apologize to any non-whites that go tanning, but I think you are in the minority on this racial issue).

The tanning tax was in the Obamacare bill and the administration hopes that by taxing white people who want to get darker it can raise billions of dollars to set up death panels to kill people and provide money to help abort more babies. Small businesses, which is what most tanning salons are, can expect to see customers cut back on tanning services now that they are more expensive, leading to losses of jobs and failing businesses.

I can't help but also notice that tanning salons are driven out of business by the Democrats legislation, less people will tan, leading to a whiter society. Is this desirable? I'll leave that to the NAACP and the Tea Party to debate, but suffice to say, the actions of Obama are going to lead to a whiter society because of the taxes that he is leveling on people who are already white.

On a more serious note, some people go to tanning salons because they have skin conditions that benefit from the treatment, and others go because a nice bronze tan provides them with a better sense of self-worth. Raising taxes on these salons will lead to less people taking advantage of these services, which could easily lead to higher incidences of depression (poor self-image causes depression, and poor self-image is linked to self-consciousness over skin conditions and color). This will add dozens of times more costs on our healthcare system, considerably in excess of whatever this tax is supposed to bring in.

So, in summary, white skin tax causes unemployment, causes depression, causes increased healthcare costs, causes racism, and causes business failure. Another win-win-win-win for Obama and the Democrats.
