ABC News' Matthew Jaffe reported that while Republicans were having their convention and talking about national security, reforming government, and making government work better, Obama's running mate Sen. Joe Biden, Democrat, was busy delineating the changes Democrats would demand when they seize power.
Looking to the future but with one eye on the past, Biden promised that an Obama-Biden government would go through Bush administration data with "a fine-toothed comb" and pursue criminal charges if necessary. "If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation," he said, "they will be pursued."
Ahh, Democrats- given a chance to pursue our enemies over seas, they turn into chicken poop, but given a chance to use the levers of government to go after a President who is out of office, they have all sorts of courage. Sort of like they donate less of their own money than Republicans, yet are all about using public money for all sorts of power. There is something about a person who is really weak, but when given public power, becomes strong, that makes me uneasy- I prefer strong people, who when given public power, make the government weaker- I trust them a lot more.
