Pelosi harms planet on drilling

Now, I've had my fair share of arguments with The Detroit News, but today's paper boasted a very good editorial section. One article in particular though I thought I'd bring to your attention is by Charles Krauthammer, discussing the Pelosi and the Democrats policies on drilling with regards to the environment. Many people who say they don't want to drill for oil in the US are doing so to "save the planet." But, as Krauthammer points out, they are in fact doing the opposite. They are shifting oil drilling from the US, which uses safe, environmentally friendly technology to drill, to places like Nigeria and the Middle East, which use unsafe, environmentally damaging methods to drill. The end result is a loss for the planet, not a gain.

Drilling for oil in the US is the earth-friendly option.
