Congress Hears What it Wants to Hear

During a news broadcast today, I heard someone interviewed who analyzes Congress for a living say that although earlier this week phone calls were 1000-1 against the bailout, now they are running about even. The analyst says that this means that there is increased support for the plan now, and says that Congress thinks the same way. What idiots. Thousands of people called in, their voice was heard, the plan was voted down, and these citizens felt their will had been done... they didn't realize that they had to call in every single day and repeat the same thing, or else when their attention wandered for a second, Congress would think there was support and pass the bill. Congress hears what it wants to hear- citizens voices eventually are drowned out by corrupt, scared, leaderless elites in our government.
