Obama has had a wonderful run these past three weeks by essentially voting present to every single phase of this financial crisis. When I was younger, I liked Clinton, because I got the sense that in his effort to make every side happy he would end up doing nothing- and nothing is better than something where government action is concerned. But what Obama is doing is different.
Why does Obama vote present all the time? To make no enemies, so he can advance up the political ladder by claiming that he stood for something, when he really stood for nothing. But once he achieves the most powerful position on Earth, will he continue to vote this way? Or will he finally put in place his left-wing socialist agenda? Is he a time bomb ready to go off? I hope not, but I fear so.
